Veterans Elementary School

Drama Kids students at Veterans Elementary School will be performing, "Storyland," on May 15, at 10:00 am at the Howard County Center of the Arts. Please come out and support your friends and classmates.

Saturday's Class at Mt. Hebron

I had the pleasure of visiting our Combination Class at Mt. Hebron Presbyterian Church this past Saturday. What an amazing group of children! I thoroughly enjoyed watching them learn and perform. Cheryl did a fabulous job teaching them the Drama Kids techniques and the students did a fantastic job performing the tasks given them. HALLOWEEN/FALL HARVEST WEEK!

We will be celebrating Halloween/Fall Harvest next week. All students are encouraged to dress in their favorite Halloween costume or bright fall colors. The students will enjoy special theme-related activities. If you haven't signed up for Drama Kids already, be sure to do so before next week so YOU can join the fun!

GREAT CLASS AT BETH ISRAEL!

Classes began this week at Beth Israel Congregation. The students had lots of fun and thoroughly enjoyed all of the activities -- taught by our newest teacher, Mr. Chris Gavin. CLASSES BEGIN IN OWINGS MILLS THIS WEEK!

Just a quick reminder that classes will begin this Wednesday, October 7th, in Owings Mills! The first class, ages 5 - 9 will begin at 4:30 pm. The Jr. Acting Academy (ages 10 - 14) will begin at 5:30 pm. Both classes will be held at the Beth Israel Congregation, 3706 Crondall Lane, Owings Mills, MD 21117. Classes began today at Dayton Oaks Elementary School. The children had a wonderful time with Ms. Cheryl Bowley, our lead teacher. The energy was amazing!We are very excited to have the opportunity to return to this school and share our wonderful program again this year!

BACK-TO-SCHOOL NIGHT AT ELKRIDGE LANDING MIDDLE SCHOOL

We were at Back-To-School Night at Elkridge Landing Middle School this evening and it was absolutely AWESOME! We met so many parents and prospective DRAMA KIDS. We were able to "spread the word" about our incredible program and enrolledt several new students. We saw Steven and Austin, two of our Acting Academy students and Gracen, one of our Upper Primary Students. Many thanks to Principal Stokes for allowing us to be a part of your fantastic evening!

TRADE SHOW AT ST. JOHN'S PARISH DAY SCHOOL.....

Drama Kids is pleased to announced that we will be conducting classes this year at St. John's Parish Day School in Ellicott City. Today, thanks to Ms. Melissa Parlette, after-school coordinator, we were able to meet and greet the students and showcase Drama Kids at their Vendor Trade Show. Many thanks to St. John's and Ms. Parlette, and we look forward to a successful year at the school!

Thought I'd share some of the fun we had last year! Looking forward to seeing lots of DRAMA KIDS in Howard and Baltimore County again this year!

WHY STUDENTS LOVE DRAMA KIDS CLASSES!

In some parts of the world, such as Australia, where the program first began in 1979, former students are now enrolling their own children so that they too can experience the vibrance, nurturing and personal growth that Drama Kids brings to all students. This is a great compliment to the power of the program!

We are proud to have founded the world’s biggest provider of developmental drama classes in the world. Is this the reason why students love classes? Of course not! They love classes because at every studio, worldwide, the teacher makes each student feel welcome and valued. On the first day of attendance a new student is warmly welcomed and then introduced to a student whose task it is to be their special friend and ease the transition into class. Please welcome our newest teacher, Mr. Chris Gavin! Chris is a playwright, songwriter, singer and actor. During his exciting career, he has directed drama productions and musicals, as well as acting in various stage productions. He is an award winning producer of a children's drama radio show. Chris has a passion for theatre and for working with children -- focusing on their development and advancement in the fields of drama and theatre. Chris will be teaching our classes at Grace Episcopal Church in Elkridge, St. John's Parish Day School in Ellicott City, Beth Israel Congregation in Owings Mills, and Veterans Elementary School in Ellicott City. He is an amazing, dynamic individual and we are thrilled to have him on board with us this year.
